Welcome to Hands & Feet of Jesus!

Welcome! We are so glad that you came to visit our blog. We are American Christians who believe that there is too much hurt in America. Our mission is to spread love the way Jesus would want us to do to all people.

Why We Started This Journey

If you’re anything like us, you look at the world around you and see the pain. You see the divisions, the arguments, the loneliness, and the genuine struggle for people just to feel seen and valued.

As Christians, we know our faith is defined by one core principle: love God and love your neighbor. But sometimes, living that out in a way that truly impacts our communities—our America—can feel overwhelming. Where do we even start?

The answer is simple: We must become the "Hands and Feet of Jesus."

Jesus didn't just speak about love; he showed it. He met needs, he listened, he shared meals, he touched the untouchable, and he brought hope to every kind of person, regardless of their background, beliefs, or standing in society.

This blog is a dedication to moving from mere belief to action.

What You Will Find Here

  • Love: This is where you will find love and encouragement. All people are welcomed, valued, and respected.

  • Resources: We believe that everyone has the right to have all their basic needs fulfilled. We believe in Maslow's hierarchy of needs and will be adding resources to help fulfill these needs.

  • Practical Ministry Ideas: This is where we will share accessible, everyday ways to serve. We aren't all called to mission trips, but we are all called to our neighbors. We will share ideas for local outreach, ways to support frontline workers, and simple gestures that can change someone’s day.

  • Stories of Impact: We will highlight the people and ministries who are already being the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing real-life examples of how love overcomes hurt.

  • Simple Spiritual Reminders: We'll ground everything we do in Scripture, focusing on the biblical call to justice, compassion, and selfless love.

  • Challenges: Look out for simple, powerful initiatives, like our upcoming "Thankful Thirty Challenge" in November, designed to build habits of grace and gratitude.

Our heart is to create a community that says, "We see the hurt, and we will not just pray for change; we will be the change."

Will You Join Us?

We believe that every person—from every corner of this country and every church background—can join this movement. It doesn't take special training; it just takes a willingness to be led by the Spirit and a desire to see people whole.

We are so glad you are here. Take a look around, share your thoughts in the comments, and get ready to roll up your sleeves.

We are the Hands & Feet of Jesus. Let's get to work.

Question for You: What is one specific way you have recently shown Christ's love to someone outside your immediate circle? Share your story below!

Thankful Thirty Challenge

I t’s easy to get caught up in the rush of life, the endless to-do lists, and the looming stress of the holiday season. Before you know it, November slips by, and you realize you never truly paused to appreciate the goodness around you. But what if this year was different? What if we decided, together, to intentionally slow down and look for the blessing every single day? That's why we're so excited to introduce our annual ministry challenge: The Thankful Thirty! What is The Thankful Thirty? The concept is beautifully simple, yet profoundly impactful. For the entire month of November (30 days!), our challenge is to commit to finding and acknowledging one specific thing to be genuinely thankful for each day . This isn't just about general platitudes like "I'm thankful for my family." It's about developing a practice of spiritual focus —training your mind and heart to pinpoint the specific grace that God provided that day. It could be big, or it could be ...

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Climbing the Pyramid: How Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Explains Your Motivation Have you ever wondered why you just can’t focus on your big dreams when you’re utterly exhausted? Or why a lack of community makes it so hard to feel good about your own accomplishments? The answer lies in one of the most foundational concepts in psychology: Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Developed by American psychologist Abraham Maslow in the 1940s, this theory is often depicted as a five-tier pyramid. It suggests that human motivation is not random, but follows a specific, powerful order. We are driven to fulfill our most basic needs first before we can ascend to higher-level growth needs. Understanding this pyramid is like getting a blueprint for your own motivation and a guide for helping others flourish. The Five Tiers: From Survival to Significance The hierarchy is traditionally broken down into five levels, with the bottom four being Deficiency Needs (D-Needs) that cause distress if unmet, and t...
